Tim and Genera Walker
A brand new sport is at Trinity: Cross Country racing! This exciting sport will not only give students another option for athletics, but will also prepare them for other sports by allowing them to increase their fitness and endurance. The races will begin in August and proceed through October. To be prepared to race training will begin on June 1. For the first year students will participate in approximately 8 races, culminating with an exciting State Championship meet. Students will participate in the Georgia Independent Christian Athletic Association (GICAA).
Any boy or girl (grades 6-12) is encouraged to participate. The fee for participating will be $110 for the first student in a family and $85 for each additional sibling. To participate, fill out the registration form and waiver. These documents are located on this page as well as at the school office. The side bar on this page also includes summer training information. This document discusses the importance of running in the summer and describes Trinity’s Cross Country program. Additionally, a summer training schedule is included. This schedule will assist students in staying on track even when on vacation. Please, read over this information, as well as the training program.
Running is a great way to stay healthy and active, and it encourages discipline in our daily lives. All students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to participate and may contact Tim Walker at 334-750-2633.
