TRINITY TENNIS is back for the 2017 season and should offer more competitive match play than ever before! This year we will be competing in the Georgia Independent Christian Athletic Association (GICAA) as well as playing matches with several previous opponents. All 7th-12th grade tennis players, boys and girls, are encouraged to play for Trinity! Players should feel confident self-conducting a tennis match, have had some degree of tennis lessons or clinics, and be comfortable keeping score.
The fee will cover league expenses in addition to uniforms, balls, travel, insurance and court fees. The cost per player is $110 for the first student in a family and $85 for each additional sibling. In addition to the fee, each player must turn in a Tennis Registration form and a Waiver form (Listed in the sidebar). Homeschoolers must complete an Extracurricular Program Application (Listed in the sidebar) and pay an additional $25 fee. All forms will also be available at the organizational meeting.
There will be an organizational meeting Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Calhoun Tennis Center. Practice will follow.
Regular practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, weather permitting, from 5:30-6:30 beginning TBA. Once matches begin, practices will be held only as needed. Mike and Julia Gunter will be coaches. All practices and home matches will be at the Calhoun Tennis Center in Opelika. Regional and State tournaments for the league should continue into mid-April.
If you have any questions please call me, Julia Gunter at 334-704-3324. See you at the courts!
