Music Notes:

Music is an important subject in the development of your child's thinking as well as fine tuning their fine motor skills. At Trinity, we believe it is important to offer music classes that will build upon each other as a child progresses from one grade to another.

Chimes

Director: Mrs. Amy Hawkins

Chimes class is comprised of 4th graders and builds upon all the musical skills students have attained in the K5 - 3rd Grade music classes. The difference is the focus is not singing, but rather on playing a musical instrument with skill and coordination. Students should have a good understanding of how to read music. The chimes class performs at the Christmas and Spring Concert. If your 4th grader is interested in expanding their vocal abilities, they should sign up for Ensemble.

Trinity is fortunate to have a four octave hand chime set that was purchased with memorial funds for Mrs. Judy Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a devout member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She served as choir director for many years and was very supportive of music at Trinity Christian School.
