Who will we play?
We will, like last year, not be in a conference. We will play teams in Georgia and Alabama. So far, Kathy Hayley has got us scheduled for 1 tournament, besides the regular schedule. Please see the attached Varsity Schedule. During the season Coach Kathy will hand each player on Thursday or Friday a schedule for the following week.
Who can participate?
Girls in grades 8th - 12th are eligible for the varsity team. Girls in grades 6th - 9th are eligible for the junior varsity team. Again some of these girls will play on both teams.
When is C-Team soccer?
The sign up meeting for C-Team will be Monday, March 5th at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. C- Team is for girls K-5. The cost will be $60 and these teams will meet twice a week after school. The older varsity players will coach these teams.
What is the cost?
Like all programs at Trinity, the soccer program must pay for itself. The cost for JV will be $150 and the Varsity was $300 for students enrolled at Trinity. (Note: if your daughter is a home school student and is not enrolled at Trinity, you have to pay the $25 annual application fee for extracurricular programs for 2011/2012, plus a $60 building/field fee. These fees can be paid all at once or in 3 monthly payments. All fees have to be paid in full by May 1, 2012.
When does practice begin?
Monday, February 6th will be the first day of practice from 3:30-5:00 PM. Varsity practice will be Monday - Friday. JV practice will be Monday- Thursday.
When is the sign up meeting?
The meeting will be Tuesday, January 31st at 6:30 in the fellowship hall. Bring a copy of your student's birth certificate and be prepared to pay, at least, the registration fee, building/grounds fee and first payment of the soccer fee during this meeting.
What are the goals and expectations of the program?
The goals of the program are to develop soccer skills among the players, to compete as a team at the highest possible level, and win or lose we honor God. As such, the expectation of each player is that he will participate in all practices and games to the best of his ability.
How will information be communicated?
As information becomes available, it will be communicated through Trinity's website and via e-mail. The website will contain practice and game schedules, directions to game locations, and contact information.
