Music
Music is an important subject in the development of your child's thinking as well as fine tuning their fine motor skills. At Trinity, we believe it is important to offer music classes that will build upon each other as a child progresses from one grade to another.
Please be prayerful about the decision to enroll your child in any of these programs. We need to be able to plan according to the numbers of students enrolled. If you schedule your child to participate, please make sure they attend class every time it meets.
New Band Director for 2008-09 School Year
We are very pleased to announce Mr. Mike Stough will be joining our faculty next year as the band and ensemble director. Mr. Stough has directed bands at Opelika High School and most recently at Alabama Christian High School in Montgomery. We are excited to see how Mr. Stough will keep our tradition of excellence in band and ensemble as he develops this program further.
We are so grateful to Mrs. Amy Hawkins for directing our band program this school year. She will remain on our faculty as the teacher for lower grade music classes and chimes. We appreciate Mrs. Hawkins' willingness to take on so much and keep our music program at the high level that we are used to at Trinity. Look forward with us to continued growth in this departmentunder her leadership.
We thank Mrs. Genera Walker who has willingly stepped in to teach our lower grade music classes this year while Mrs. Hawkins kept band and ensemble moving. Mrs. Walker's hard work and love for her students has been evident; her students will miss her.
