As a part of concluding the study of Jane Austen’s novel Pride and Prejudice, Mrs. McCarn’s eighth grade students were assigned the task of choosing their own means of presenting various aspects of the 1800’s time period represented in the book. An interactive activity was required by each student after his/her presentation. Some students chose to host a tea party while others focused on fashion of the day and even dressed the part. One group focused on architecture and had the students complete puzzles that displayed the various styles.
