Academics

glorifying god in all things

academic goals

Our desire is to provide the students who have been placed in our care the opportunity to fulfill their God-given potential by means of time-tested and classical instructional methods and curriculum. However, it is not solely the mind we are training. We seek to influence the heart and souls of our students, to develop good habits, and to cultivate a love of learning so that our graduates leave with a deep faith in Jesus Christ, a commitment to His Word, and a desire to glorify God in His calling for their lives.

carefully curated curriculum

Recognition and love of truth, goodness, and beauty as well as the fostering of wonder and curiosity while forming in students habits designed to teach them to see Christ in all that He has done and continues to do, frame our curriculum. Studying events and works of literature in their historical context helps students understand God’s work among His people and see the larger plan He continues to accomplish. Through the curriculum offered at Trinity and taught by teachers who teach all things in light of Scripture we hope the prayer of our students will be like this prayer written by James Clark Maxwell, physicist, mathematician, and Presbyterian: “Almighty God, Who has created man in Thine own image, and made him a living soul that he might seek after Thee, and have dominion over Thy creatures, teach us the work of Thy hands, that we may subdue the earth to our use, and strengthen the reason for Thy service; so to receive Thy blessed Word, that we may believe in Him Who Thou hast sent, to give us the knowledge of salvation and the remission of our sins. All of which we ask in the name of the same, Jesus Christ, our Lord.”
