Admissions

we are excited to meet you!

Trinity Christian School can be a transformative and enriching educational experience for your entire family.  If you are looking for a school with rigorous academics, conservative Christian values, a nurturing environment, and like-minded families who share a desire to raise their children counter culturally, then Trinity might be the right school for you.

Our application process is designed to allow us to get to know each family so that we can assemble a cohesive student body.  We look for families who are eager to partner with the school in the training of their child in wisdom and knowledge.  Our desire is to help parents cultivate in their children an enduring love of learning, a commitment to serve others, and a dedication to the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty, forged from historical models of orthodox Christianity and based in classical curriculum and pedagogy.  We aim to graduate virtuous scholars who think clearly, listen carefully, discern wisely, reason persuasively, and articulate precisely - all with an eagerness to glorify God and enjoy him forever.

Our admission team is delighted to assist you in every stage of the process, from your initial inquiry to the time you join our community as a Trinity family.

Admission Steps:

  1. Schedule a tour

The best way to learn about our school is to come see it for yourself.  If you are interested in learning more about Trinity Christian School and classical, Christian education, please fill out this online inquiry form.

  2.  complete the application

To officially be on our waitlist and considered for admission, you need to complete and submit the application, pastoral reference form, and application fee.  You will receive a copy of the application at your tour, or we can mail you an application if needed.

  3.  parent interview with the principal

Because of our commitment to working with like-minded families, you will meet with our principal to learn more about the school, ask questions, and have a conversation about your family and education approach.

  4.  Student Testing

We complete student testing on our campus.  For K-4th grade, the testing is done with the teacher of your student's potential grade.  For 5th-12th grade, your students should expect to be on our campus for up to two hours taking a test that covers grammar, writing, and math.  No specific score is required.  We are looking for a base mastery and understanding in each of these areas.  At the time of testing, they will also have a conversation with our principal so he can get to know them and their interests.

  5.  acceptance

If your child is accepted, you will need to send in additional paperwork, pay an enrollment fee, get connected with your mentor family, and register for the classes for the upcoming school year.

If you have specific questions, you may reach our to our Director of Admissions at receptionist@tcsopelika.org or you may call us at 334-745-2464.

We are a classical, Christian school.  Please read our Statement of Faith to learn more about our core beliefs.  As a classical school, we base our education on the trivium and quadrivium.  This chart is helpful in explaining how classical education works along with a child's development to shape the curriculum and the teaching methods in each stage.
